Ride the best trails

Our SwissCycling certified expert guides will make sure you ride on the most amazing trails you've ever ridden. Buckle up, you're in for a ride!

Private groups

A day in the mountains shouldn't be about waiting for strangers to reach the bottom of the trail. That's why we encourage private groups! More riding and better suited trails are the key words here.

Straight to the point

Have you ever spent a day riding in a new location without a local guide? Then you know how easy it is to waste a great riding day by being glued to the map and missing turns on the trails. Your time is valuable, make the most of it!

Tailored-made

Whether you want to have a nice lunch in an altitude restaurant, a classic croûte in a mountain hut or a quick sandwich on the side of the track, we are here to provide you with the perfect amount of riding you want for the day.

Adapted to your skills

We all know how annoying it is to ride on a trail that's not challenging enough. We also know too well how painful it is to have to walk down a trail that's too hard. Riding with a experimented SwissCycling guide will ensure this doesn't happen.

Ebike friendly

Ebiker? No problem, we have tailored-made tours for you too!

What a Verbier MTB day tour with us looks like

This is the rhythm of our Col de Mille full day tour. Half-day and custom tours follow the same structure on a shorter timeline.

08:30 — Meet at Verbier centre: coffee, gear check, e-MTB fitting and bike-settings briefing. We adjust suspension and seat height to you specifically.

09:00 — Skills warm-up & first lift: Fifteen minutes on the practice loop to dial in braking, body position and e-bike modes. Then the first lift up — instantly above the treeline.

10:30 — The first descent: Flowy alpine singletrack with views to Mont Blanc. Your guide leads, photographs, and adapts difficulty section by section.

12:30 — Lunch at altitude: A real Valaisan meal at a mountain hut. Bikes charge while you eat. We've usually known the chef for ten years.

14:00 — The big descent: The trail of the day — 1,500 m of vertical singletrack. Loamy forest, alpine meadows, and corners you'll talk about for weeks.

16:30 — Return & debrief: Bikes parked, photos shared, beers poured, relaxation time.  Door-to-door 8 hours total.

The trails we'll ride on your day tour

The 4 Vallées area has more singletrack than most countries. Here are the routes we cycle through most often — your day will use a custom mix depending on weather, lift schedules and your group's pace.

  • Tour du Mont-Fort — the classic 4 Vallées circuit linking Verbier, La Tzoumaz and Nendaz

  • Croix de Coeur — panoramic ridge ride above Verbier with 360° alpine views

  • La Chaux to Verbier — lift-assisted high alpine descent, accessible to most riders

  • Col de Mille — wild Val de Bagnes high pass, for experienced riders only

  • Cabane Brunet — mountain hut tour with a coffee stop at 2,100 m

  • Les Ruinettes loop — mid-mountain singletrack network, perfect for skill-building

  • Bruson side — quieter forest descents on the opposite valley wall

  • Mauvoisin dam — long valley ride to the iconic 250 m arched concrete wall

Verbier MTB day tour FAQ

Q1: How much does a private MTB or e-bike day tour in Verbier cost?

Our private day tours from Verbier start at CHF70 per person( in a group of 6) for a half-day discovery and CHF100 for the full day. Prices are per person and vary depending on group size — up to 6 riders share the same fee. Premium e-MTB rental, lunch on full-day tours, and lift passes are not included.

Q2: Do you guide both MTB and e-bike tours?

Yes — we run private tours on both traditional mountain bikes and e-MTBs. Around 70% of our day-tour clients ride e-MTBs (faster pace, more terrain in less time, better for mixed-ability groups). Roughly 30% ride traditional MTBs (lighter, more technical, lower minimum age). Mixed groups are welcome.

Q3: Can complete beginners book a guided MTB tour in Verbier?

Yes. Around 50% of our day-tour clients have never ridden alpine trails before. We start every ride with a 15-minute skills warm-up — brake control, body position, descending technique — and we choose terrain that matches your fastest learning curve. The Half-day Discovery tour is built specifically for first-timers. We also offer coaching sessions.

Q4: What's the difference between a guided tour and renting a bike with a GPX file?

Public GPX tracks for Verbier route you primarily on fire roads and miss the best singletrack. With a local guide you ride loamy variations, hidden alpine balconies, and trails with names that don't appear on any free download. You also get real-time difficulty adjustment, mechanical support, photography and lunch reservations. The price difference is roughly 3× — but it's a different ride entirely.

Q5: Where do we meet, and how long does a tour last?

We meet in central Verbier, near the Médran lift station — exact address on booking confirmation. Half-day tours run 3 hours (09:00–12:00 or 13:00–16:00). Full-day tours run 7–8 hours (typically 09:00–17:00, including lunch). We can adjust to start later if you're staying outside the village.

Q6: What if the weather is bad on my booking day?

We monitor the Valaisan forecast 48 hours out and call you if conditions are unsafe — usually electrical storms. In that case we reschedule free of charge. Rain doesn't usually stop us — Verbier weather changes quickly and the singletrack drains fast. We always have a Plan B route to lower altitude.

Q7: Are MTB tours suitable for kids and families?

Yes, with conditions. Swiss law requires riders to be 14+ to ride an e-MTB on public trails (16+ without the 2-wheel licence). For traditional MTB, minimum age is 12 with prior experience. For families with riders 14+, we love these tours — usually a relaxed half-day Discovery loop with frequent stops. For younger children, our coaching service is the better fit.

Q8: How do I book? Can I book today for tomorrow?

For high season (July–August) we recommend booking 2–3 days ahead. For shoulder season (June, September, October) we can often confirm same-day or next-day with 24 hours' notice. The fastest way is our online booking system.
