A Private Haute Route: From Verbier to Zermatt – Just Father, Son, and Endless Trails

This June, we had the pleasure of guiding a private Haute Route adventure from Verbier to Zermatt, with just two riders – a father and his son – ready to discover the hidden flow and raw beauty of the Alps.
We kicked things off in Verbier, riding some of the region’s best trails before heading deep into the mountains. Far from the crowds, we crossed high alpine passes and descended into quiet valleys, eventually reaching Grimentz – a peaceful mountain village where we spent the night surrounded by silence, peaks, and starry skies.
The next day took us over remote ridgelines and into a forgotten corner of Crans-Montana, where the trails were buttery smooth and the views, endless. That evening, we arrived in Loèche-les-Bains – where hot spa waters and hearty mountain meals helped us recharge.
From there, we dropped into one of the highlights of the week: a 30 km singletrack descent from
the alpine heights above Loèche down to the valley floor. Riding above the tree line the entire time, with sweeping views in every direction, it felt like we were floating through the sky.
Finally, we reached Zermatt. And what better way to end the journey than with a room that opens onto a full view of the Matterhorn? A postcard moment, but real.
This wasn’t just another trip. It was a private journey – carefully designed, fully guided, and tailored to the pace, mood, and spirit of our two guests.
